Totally Retro

My style since the beginning of this year has been going more and more towards the forties and fifties.  My favorite decade always used to be the twenties...but that style does not work so well on plus size girls with their weight in their middle.  And lately all I've wanted to do is learn how to do victory rolls.  (I'm not very good with hair though so I haven't even tried yet.)  But I've been incorporating more pinup makeup styles and I bought these awesome cat-eye frames from my favorite vintage clothing store Fred and Ethel's Antiques.

These pictures were taken awhile ago, because I am horrible at keeping up with blogging.  That's one of my goals for the summer...to blog on at least a semi-regular basis.  My hair was very freshly dyed and now that's the color's grown out a bit, I like it much better.  I have a fairly colorful wardrobe and not everything works with bright red.  Yellow is not my color no matter what my hair color, but I really love how comfy this jacket is so I wore it anyway.

I will admit my shoes are beaten up.

They're pretty scuffed but they are comfy and red (which matches mooooosst of my wardrobe) and the only heels I really feel comfortable in.  So I deal with it.

Dress and glasses: Fred and Ethel's Antiques
Jacket: my grandma's
Leggings: Target
Shoes: Thrifted
